Fines are imposed for overdue library items at the following rates:
Overdue books, music CDs and magazines - 10 cents per item per day
Maximum overdue fee - $5.00 per item
Overdue DVDs - $1.00 per item per day
Maximum overdue fee - $15.00 per item
Lost or damaged materials - $20.00 if replacement cost cannot be determined
Exact replacement, per item - $3.00 processing fee
Maximum fines/fees before a patron is blocked from checking out or using computers - $15.00
Fines are associated with the type of item that is overdue and do not depend on whether the borrower is an adult or child.
Under extenuating circumstances and at the discretion of the Head of Circulation, fines may be reduced or waived.
